This might not be a mistake but it is pretty annoying. The second issue is that even when my old computer (a 2012-13 Macbook Pro) is connected to the same WiFi network as the Inspiron computer, the Inspiron has a way slower download and upload speed. The Macbook always has at least twice the download speed and several times the upload speed with the same WiFi.

What could be causing the Inspiron to be so slow? How can I fix it? Do I need to buy a new network card to make the computer not terrible?.
