Norton Ghost 8.2 Enterprise
Ghost is no longer on the market, and Symantec never came out with a Windows 8 compatible version. That's the bad news. The good news is that if you have a Ghost 15 install CD, you can install it under Windows 8 and use it for 30 days before it shuts itself off permanently. 30 days should give you long enough to get what you want and save in a format you can use with Windows 8. Another alternative would be to get hold of something like Virtual Box and an XP CD and install XP to run under Virtual Box. You could always take the drive with your backup to a PC running XP, Vista, or Windows 7 to get your data off using Ghost.It seems like it would've been such a simple thing for Symantec to've fixed the problem for Windows 8, but they apparently were more interested in selling their newer utilities. Not the first time they've pulled this trick (Partition Magic was another victim of this process).`Good luck.
